![]() Like i said in the post, changing the FOV only creates a zoom in or zoom out effect. You can always mess with the FOV in the console. Adding some type of POV, maybe changing the FOV a bit in some way, I'm sure the developers could come up with a solution to this problem if they tried. The solution should be to fix the first person. Yea, but adding a third person option shouldn't be the solution. What do you guys think? Do you have any thoughts about this issue? I asked Obraxis if they were going to resolve this issue in the future and he responded with: "We may put in a POV scaler before 1.0 but no promises".Ī POV scaler could probably help a lot, but is it really enough? Maybe something needs to be changed about the position of the "camera" in first person or something. I tried playing around with the FOV ingame a bit, but it only made it look like the game was either zoomed in or zoomed out. ![]() Giant creatures and structures in Subnautica is awesome, a lot of people have wanted this in Subnautica for a long time, but it's actually already in the game right now! This is a problem that I really wish to be resolved in the future, because this problem really takes a way a lot of what the game is supposed to feel like: Something that really took me by surprise is how big the ghost tree actually is.Īnd this is how it looks when you're close to it in first person: You could almost build an entire city in its mouth. You thought the giant skeleton head in the lost river was huge already?: But he's actually huge, even though he's probably going to be bigger once he's finished.Įven the reaper leviathan is noticeably bigger in actuality than what he appears to be in first person: The sea emperor does look kinda small right now, at first glance. ![]() Here's another one, this is the sea emperor's current size It's a bit bigger here than it looks in first person, right? Or am I crazy.? Here's some examples, this is the sea dragon:Īnd this is what happens when you compare its size with the player model: Have you ever gone up to something big (like the sea dragon), then switch to freecam mode and notice that it seems even bigger, when you compare it to the player model? Have you ever noticed how everything looks smaller in first person than it actually is? Here are a few more details that have come out about this devil of the deep that will no doubt keep you locked inside your underwater habitat forever.Hey, guys. Though a lucky few have gotten access to a closed experimental branch of the mod, there are some new things we can piece together about this massive monster. ![]() This is an unofficial expansion to Subnautica that also adds several new features, base parts, and more creatures to make the barren alien seas feel a little more alive. But it has gone under a pretty substantial rework since then and is now part of a much larger mod pack called the Return of The Ancients. Updated April 12, 2022, by Matthew Mckeown: It’s been nearly a year since the last check-in, and sadly the Subnautica Gargantuan Leviathan mod is still not available to the public. So with that in mind, here are a few interesting facts that you might not have known about the Gargantuan Leviathan Mod. RELATED: Subnautica: Scary Biomes You Can't Avoid (And Those You Can)ĭubbed the Gargantuan Leviathan mod, this frightening addition to Subnautica was made by Space Cat Creations, a team of modders who originally released a trailer to showcase this gigantic beast on YouTube. ![]()
